SRIXON’S FURYK AND STENSON FINISH THIRD AND FIFTH AT THE TARGET WORLD CHALLENGE
ATLANTA, GA, December 18, 2007 - In the final event of the 2007 season, Jim Furyk
ended with another strong finish, taking third place in the
limited-field Target World Challenge at Sherwood Oaks Country Club in
Thousand Oaks, Calif. His finish was his fifth top-three finish in 2007
and gives him plenty of confidence going into the 2008 season opener.
Furyk, who will be entering into his third year on Srixon’s tour staff, uses the Srixon Z-URC golf ball, 506 irons and Srixon wedges.
Srixon’s Henrik Stenson finished T-5th at the Target Challenge. The
2007 season was Stenson’s first full year on the PGA Tour. He won the
World Golf Championships Accenture Match Play Championship and earned
more than $1.8 million in only 15 events using the Srixon Z-UR, and Srixon I-701 irons.
Stenson
will join Furyk and the winner of both the 2007 Reno-Tahoe Open and
Turning Stone Resort Championship in the season-opening Mercedes-Benz
Championship, Jan 3 -6 in Kapalua, Hawaii. The limited-field event is
open to only 2007 tournament champions.
