ATLANTA, GA, December 8, 2006 -
The winner of the 3rd event of the Srixon PGA Tournament Series on
Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at PGA Golf Club (Wanamaker Course), Port St.
Lucie, FL played with Srixon’s Z-URC golf ball and won the event by
three strokes in very windy conditions. He fired a blistering first
round of 65 followed by a 1-under par 71 for a 136 total.
Srixon’s
revolutionary new Z-URC golf ball has several features that only a
technology leader like Srixon could develop. It starts with the softest
urethane-elastomer cover we’ve ever developed which delivers
outstanding spin control on approach shots and around the green. At an
astounding .02 inches thin, this unique cover provides for the largest
and fastest Energetic Gradient Growth core Srixon has ever developed,
meaning you don’t have to sacrifice distance to gain this control.
Finally, the 330 dimple pattern of the Z-URC combines high trajectory
with a penetrating ball flight for stability in all cross winds and
head winds.
The Srixon PGA Tournament Series is the winter
series of 6, 2-day events contested over several challenging courses in
South Florida. Fields are open to PGA Class A members as well as PGA
Apprentices. The series helps these professionals keep their games
sharp during the cold winter months as many of them hail from courses
in the colder Northern and Midwestern climates.
