ATLANTA, GA, October 3, 2005 -
Srixon Staff Professional Tim Clark has surpassed the $2 million
mark on the PGA TOUR for the first time in his career after finishing
T6 at the Chrysler Greensboro Classic on Sunday, October 2, 2005. This
marks Clark’s 5th Top 10 finish of the season, and moves him to 19th on
the PGA Tour Money list, keeping him well on track to a berth in the
season ending Tour Championship. He also has two victories on the
European Tour in 2005 at the South African Airways Open and the
Barclays Scottish Open.
Since Clark
made the switch to Srixon at the beginning of this year, his
performance has been nothing but spectacular. This year has been a
season of “firsts” for Tim: His first year collecting over $2 million
on the PGA TOUR in a season, his first year winning two tournaments (on
the European Tour), and his career best finish (T-3rd) at the U.S.
Open. In addition, Clark is currently ranked 18th on the Official World
Golf Rankings and 25th overall on the PGA Tour’s scoring average.
“It’s
been a career year for me in 2005 since switching to Srixon,” said
Clark. “The extra distance I’ve gotten this year off the tee from the
Srixon Z-UR has put me in some excellent scoring situations with my
irons, and I’ve been fortunate to be able to take advantage of these
opportunities. You always open yourself up to questions whenever you
switch equipment on Tour, especially to a smaller company, but I think
my results certainly validate my decision and speak volumes about the
equipment. The year isn’t over yet and I’m expecting continued success
through the end of the year,” added Clark.
Srixon
golf balls have earned 24 wins across the globe and a total of 19 Top
10 finishes already this year on the PGA Tour, including 11 Top 5
finishes.
