SRIXON’S JIM FURYK TAKES 4th PLACE AT THE WGC-AMERICAN EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP
Jim Furyk Adds 11th Top 4 to His 2 Win Season

ATLANTA, GA, October 2, 2006
Srixon Staff Professional Jim Furyk came in 4th place at the World Golf Championship’s American Express Championship on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at The Groves, Hertfordshire, England. Furyk finished at 14-under par with all rounds in the 60s, for a 270 total (65-67-69-69), playing with a full bag of Srixon equipment; Srixon’s Z-URC golf ball, Srixon’s W-506 driver, I-506 irons and Srixon wedges.

The number 2 player in the world capped off yet another great performance with his 7th top 4 finish in his last 8 events and his 11th top 4 finish for the 2006 season. Furyk continues his hold on 2nd place in Scoring Average (68.92), and leads in total Top 10 finishes for the year (12).  He has earned a career best $6.42 million in prize money and further solidifies his 2nd place ranking on the PGA Tour Money List.  The 2003 U.S. Open Champion has 12 career victories and is one of only 5 multiple winners on the PGA Tour in 2006—He won the Canadian Open in September and the Wachovia Championship in May of this year. 

Srixon Staff Professionals have amassed 33 Top 10s on the PGA TOUR this season including Furyk’s two wins and John Rollins’ victory at the B.C. Open.
