Srixon Wins on Nationwide Tour
Thompson Claims Second Victory on Tour with Srixon Z-URS Golf Ball and new 701 Tour Irons

ATLANTA, GA, September 17, 2007
Srixon’s Kyle Thompson has all but guaranteed himself a 2008 PGA TOUR card with his second win of the season on Sunday at the Nationwide Oregon Classic.  Thompson sank a 60-foot eagle putt on the final hole of regulation to finish 17-under par and force a three-man playoff.  He then birdied the second playoff hole to secure the win and the first place check of $85,500.

The 18th hole was one of Thompson’s favorite last week. Playing it 6-under par for the week, he birdied it on Friday and eagled it on Saturday and Sunday and then birdied it again on the first playoff hole.  Relying on his Srixon I-701 Tour irons and Srixon Z-URS golf ball, Thompson displayed a winning combination of distance off the tee (32nd in driving distance), solid iron play (9th in GIR) and deft touch around the greens (12th in putting).

Thompson’s win along with his earlier victory at the Rex Hospital Classic, makes him just the 3rd multiple winner on the Nationwide Tour this year.  He moves from No. 27 on the money list to No. 7 with earnings of $229,000.  The top 25 on the Tour’s money list earn their 2008 PGA Tour cards.   However, if he wins one more time on the Nationwide Tour he earns an instant promotion to the PGA TOUR.  On the PGA Tour, Srixon’s Tim Clark finished T-7th at the TOUR Championship using the Srixon Z-URC golf ball and the I-701 Tour irons.  He finished 21st in the FedExCup standings and has won over $2 million on tour this year.  Srixon’s Jim Furyk finished 11th in the FedEx Cup standings and has earned over $4 million this year.
