ATLANTA, GA, August 27, 2007 -
Srixon Sports announced today 2006-2007 Regional Salesman of the Year
Awards for their Western, Southern, Central and Northeast regions. The
annual awards select the most outstanding territory managers in each
region based on overall performance. In addition, Srixon has named John
Lanz as Regional Sales Manager of the Year.
Western Region:
Mark Whritner
has been named Western Regional Salesman of the Year. Whritner, a
seasoned veteran with Srixon, does an outstanding job covering Southern
California.
Mark led the region in all key categories. He
increased his premium ball sales volume along with his active, new
account and staff account business. He led the region in highest
percent to volume goal. Mark also created the popular Srixon Series
for the San Diego club professionals to compete in. His hard work and
efforts in the past few years has made his territory the fourth largest
in the company.
Southern Region:
North Texas Territory Manager,
Roger Boyd,
has been named the Southern Regional Salesman of the Year. Boyd has
been with Srixon for eight years and has a strong rapport with his
entire account base. He is having a phenomenal year, currently 110% to
goal for 2007 and is at 130% of last year’s sales. He also led the
region in staff account signings and opening of new accounts. Boyd’s
strong work ethic and attention to detail earns him high respect from
his accounts and peers.
Central Region:
John Meunier
has been named Central Regional Salesman of the Year for Srixon and
also National Salesman of the Year. Meunier, who covers Wisconsin and
the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for Srixon, has led the company in
several key categories. He has increased the number of his active
accounts and staff accounts, and also significantly increased his total
sales volume. He has been with Srixon for seven years and is actively
involved with the Wisconsin Section of the PGA.
Northeast Region:
Sales veteran
Ned Abernathy
has been named Northeast Regional Salesman of the Year. Abernathy has
been in the golf industry for over 25 years and has been with Srixon
for three years, most recently covering Northwest, Central and Southern
Ohio. Since taken over his new territory a year ago, Abernathy’s sales
are up close to 25% and account distribution has increased over 50%.
He has a solid relationship with the golf professionals in his
territory putting service as one of his top priorities.
Regional Manager of the Year:
Southern Regional Manager, John Lanz, has been named Regional Sales
Manager of the Year. Lanz manages a sales group of 12 territory
managers covering 11 states. He leads by example with a strong work
ethic, true dedication to his salesmen, and the utmost professionalism.
His region had an incredible year with sales growth of 18% and
continues to lead the company in total dollar sales, staff, and active
accounts.
The winners of the Regional and National Sales Awards were recognized at the Srixon National Sales Meeting earlier this month.
