ATLANTA, GA, August 9, 2005 -
Srixon Sports today announces the launch of the P-500 series putters
to its club line up, the most sophisticated putters Srixon has ever
designed. The P-513 and P-514 putters have been designed to maximize
Moment of Inertia (MOI) which reduces a clubhead’s ability to twist at
impact and send a putt off-line. In addition, the unique putter head
designs—the P-513 or “pentagon” type features a distinctive triple
sight line while the P-514 is “T-Bar” in shape—also help to eliminate
clubhead twisting, aiding stability during the stroke.
“As
a leader in digital impact science, we are able to understand the
relevant forces that act on the ball during impact with all clubs –
including putters,” said Richard Stamper, Srixon’s President.
“Understanding these dynamics allows us to create putters like the
P-513 and P-514 that are specifically designed for effortless alignment
and incredible stability. The P-513 and P-514 putters maximize the
moment of inertia to give more control and stability with the putting
stroke. Whether it’s the triple sight alignment aid of the 513 or T-Bar
shape of the 514, golfers can feel confident in rolling the ball on
their intended line. Just as our golf balls and golf clubs are
Tour-caliber, so are our putters – with LPGA Tour professional Karrie
Webb using the P-513 en-route to her victory in the ANZ Ladies
Masters,” added Stamper.
Both putters feature
lightweight aluminum bodies that allow for a larger clubhead mass which
is then matched with stainless steel weights that are strategically
inserted around the perimeter of each clubhead. The result is a high
moment of inertia producing tremendous stability with minimal
dispersion promoting a confident, repeatable stroke. The putters are
also designed with an extremely soft aluminum alloy face insert helping
to provide a responsive soft feel at contact.
The
P-513 and P-514 putters are 34-inches long, are available in
right–handed models, and carry a suggested retail price of $200.
