Srixon Sports, a world leader in golf club and golf ball technology, today introduces the
Z-Steel fairway woods.
The Z-Steel woods feature Srixon’s proprietary Impact Power Face
design that is the foundation behind the distance in Srixon’s
revolutionary line of drivers.

Z-Steel fairway woods feature the same design philosophy and technology
that have made our drivers so successful,” said Richard Stamper,
President, Srixon Sports. “Impact Power Face design enables us to
create optimal launch conditions so players can hit fairway wood shots
off the deck, high and straight. Furthermore, by utilizing Maraging
Steel, the clubface is lighter and thinner, thus distributing the
weight lower and deeper for better trajectory and maximum distance.”
The
Z-Steel Impact Power Face construction—the face, sole and backwall—all
work together allowing the entire clubhead to deform at impact. This
optimum deformation allows the ball to stay on the clubface
fractionally longer, which helps prolong the spin- reducing momentum,
and in turns launches the golf ball high with low spin. This
phenomenon, known as “Recoil Theory,” was systematized by the technical
staff at Srixon and applied into the technology of the W-506 driver and
the new Z-RW driver.
The Z-Steel
fairway woods are constructed of Maraging Steel that is harder and
stronger than conventional stainless steel. This allows for a thinner
clubface and more optimal weight distribution, enabling the center of
gravity to be low and deep.
Z-Steel
fairway woods are available with the Srixon’s SV3005J shaft, offered in
regular and stiff flexes. They are available for right-handed players
in 3+ (12.5° degree), 3 (14.5° degree) and 5 (18.5° degree) lofts.
