Srixon’s Furyk And Allenby Finish Third At AT&T National

ATLANTA, GA, July 7, 2008

Srixon’s Jim Furyk and Robert Allenby each shot 9 under par to finish T-3rd at the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.  Furyk fired a final-round 66 and Allenby a final-round 67 to take home $256,000 each.

Furyk recorded his fifth top 10 of the year using Srixon irons and the Z-URC golf ball. He ranked third in Greens In Regulation, hitting 80 percent, and also third in driving accuracy at 79 percent.

Allenby ranked No. 1 in Greens In Regulation last week with his Srixon 701 Tour irons and the Srixon Z-UR Series golf ball. He also used the new Srixon Z-RW driver and ranked eighth in Driving Accuracy, averaging 295 yards off the tee. This is Allenby’s fourth top-10 in the last six starts.

Allenby is currently ranked No. 10 on the FedEx Cup point standings and Furyk is No. 15.

The Srixon Z-RW driver features a Starburst Power Face design that creates a uniform trampoline effect all over the clubface. The Z-RW driver also includes four different bulge-and-roll zones to help minimize dispersion while increasing the gear effect that helps shots hit off the toe or heel bend back toward the middle.
