ATLANTA, GA, July 5, 2005 -
Srixon Staff Professional Kazuhiko Hosokawa won his first tournament
of the season in a three-way playoff to capture the Japan Golf Tour
Championship on Sunday. Hosokawa played with Srixon’s Z-UR golf ball to
shoot a 7-under par (70-67-67-69), 273 total.
On the
European Senior Tour, Srixon Staff Professional Carl Mason won the
Tour’s Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open at Royal St. David’s Golf Club on
Sunday, July 3, 2005 in Harlech, Wales. Mason, who played with Srixon’s
UR-X golf ball shot a 5-under par (68-69-65), 202 total for the win.
Mason,
who currently leads the European Seniors Tour Order of Merit, started
the day just one shot behind the leader for his second consecutive win.
This is his 11th Seniors Tour title in successive years.
On
the JLPGA Tour, Srixon Staff Professional Toshimi Kimura was the runner
up at the Veruna Ladies Cup on Sunday. Kimura played with Srixon’s
Hi-Brid Tour golf ball to shoot a 10-under par for the tournament.
