ATLANTA, GA, June 20, 2005 -
Srixon Staff Professional Satoru Hirota won the Japan Golf Tour’s
Mandom Yomiuri Open on Sunday, June 19th in Hyoga Prefecture, Japan.
Hirota, who came from three strokes behind, played with Srixon’s Z-UR
and WG-504 wedges to shoot an 18-under par, 270 total with all four
rounds in the 60s (66-68-69-67). This marks Hirota’s first win of the
season. Srixon Staff Professional Ryoken Kawagishi tied for fourth
place at this event also playing with Srixon’s Z-UR golf ball.
On
the JLPGA Tour, Srixon Staff Professionals Miho Koga and Lu Ya-huei
tied for third place at the Apita Circle-K Sunkus Ladies on Sunday by
shooting 3-under par. Koga played with Srixon’s Z-UR prototype while
Ya-huei played with Srixon’s Z-UR golf ball.
Srixon

the globe, and a total of 11 Top 10 finishes already this year on the
PGA Tour, including seven Top 5 finishes.
