SRIXON’S KARRIE WEBB COMES IN SECOND AT MCDONALD’S LPGA CHAMPIONSHIP

ATLANTA, GA, June 12, 2006
Srixon Staff Professional Karrie Webb came in second place after a playoff at the LPGA’s second major, the McDonald’s LPGA Championship at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grave, Maryland on Sunday, June 11, 2006. Webb, who narrowly missed her second major win in a playoff, shot an 8-under, 280 total with rounds of 70-70-72-68. Webb played consistent golf with the aid of the Srixon W-506 Driver, Srixon Z-UR prototype golf ball, and Srixon forged irons. Webb is in 2nd place on the ADT Official Money List with over $1 million won this year.

The Hall of Famer, armed with Srixon’s newest driver and golf ball, has had an impressive and results-driven 2006 since her win at the LPGA’s first major, the Kraft Nabisco Championship. In addition to that major win, she won again at the Michelob Ultra Open, plus collected 3 Top 2 finishes. In November of 2005, Webb was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
