ATLANTA, GA, June 6, 2005 -
Srixon’s Z-UR prototype golf ball continues its hot performance
across the globe, this time collecting a European Tour win on Sunday,
June 5, 2005. Srixon Staff Professional Miguel Angel Jiménez won The
Celtic Manor Wales Open on Sunday by four strokes for his second win of
the season. Jiménez played with Srixon’s Z-UR prototype golf ball on
his way to shooting a 14-under par, 262 total (63-67-70-62) at the
Celtic Manor Resort in Wales. He started the final round one stroke
behind the leader, but overcame the deficit by carding six birdies and
an eagle to win his seventh win in 39 tournaments.
On
the LPGA Tour, Srixon Staff Professional Laura Davies also played with
Srixon’s Z-UR prototype golf ball and shot a 12-under par (71-62-68)
for a tie for third place at the ShopRite LPGA Classic at the Seaview
Resort & Spa in Galloway Township, New Jersey. This is Davies’
second Top 10 of the season.
On the Ladies European
Tour Srixon Staff Professional Iben Tinning played with Srixon’s AD333
golf ball to win the BMW Ladies Italian Open by shooting a 17-under
par, 271 total (69-70-66-66) at Sheraton Golf Parco de Medici in Rome,
Italy. This was Tinning’s 2nd win in just three weeks.
And
on the Japan LPGA, Srixon Staff Professional Sakura Yokomine played
with Srixon’s Z-UR to tie for third place at the Resort Trust Ladies by
shooting a 5-under par, 211 total.
Srixon staff

the globe, and a total of 11 Top 10 finishes already this year on the
PGA Tour, including six Top 5 finishes.
