Srixon’s Lawrie Wins European Tour Event Using I-701 Irons and Z-URS Golf Ball

ATLANTA, GA, May 5, 2008 -

Srixon staff professional Peter Lawrie fired four birdies in his last six holes to force a playoff at the European Tour’s Open de España. He secured the victory on the second playoff hole with a par. The win moved him from 88^th to 12^th on the Order of Merit.

The 34-year-old Irishman had pinpoint accuracy all week with his Srixon I-701 irons and Z-URS golf ball. Lawrie also used Srixon wedges and No. 5 fairway wood.

The recently introduced I-701 irons feature a pocket cavity structure, which effectively lowers and deepens the I-701’s center of gravity allowing for an extremely stable clubhead through impact and making it easier to get the ball airborne for high, straight iron shots.
