ATLANTA, GA, March 29, 2005 -
Srixon Ball Staff Professional Tom Lehman continues his impressive
2005 season by placing in a tie for 2nd place at THE PLAYERS
Championship on Monday, March 28, 2005 at TPC at Sawgrass. Lehman, who
played with Srixon's Z-UR prototype golf ball shot an 8-under par, 280
total (71-69-72-68), for his third Top 10 of the year and second 2nd
place finish.
Lehman, the 2006 U.S. Ryder Cup captain, moved up to 10th place on the PGA Tour's Money List.
Srixon
staff players and the new Z-UR golf balls have earned three wins across
the globe, and a total of eight Top 10 finishes already this year on
the PGA Tour, including six Top 5 finishes. On the European Tour, the
Z-UR golf balls have already claimed two victories-Tim Clark at the
South African Airways Open and Miguel Angel Jimenez at the Omega Hong
Kong Open-this season, while Karrie Webb won the Ladies European Tour's
ANZ Ladies Masters last month.
Srixon's
revolutionary Z-UR is constructed with an incredibly soft,
shear-resistant, and membrane-thin urethane-elastomer cover measuring
an astounding 0.02-inch thin and features the largest and fastest
Energetic Gradient Growth core Srixon has ever developed. The Z-UR is a
ball with tremendous initial velocity, ideal ball flight and
aerodynamics, and pinpoint control and feel.
