ATLANTA, GA, February 14, 2005 -
Srixon Staff Professional Tim Clark continued his brilliant play to start the 2005 season with a fourth place tie at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. In just his first three events of the 2005 season he’s collected a win, a tie for second and a tie for fourth place finish. Clark has been lighting up the Tour with Srixon’s new Z-UR prototype golf ball and just this week played with a full set of Srixon prototype forged cavity back irons. On Sunday, Clark tied for fourth place at the AT&T by shooting a 276, 12-under par total (67-71-67-71) total.
Always known as a precision iron player, Clark validated his switch to Srixon irons by finishing fifth in the all important Greens in Regulation category at the AT&T, his first event with the clubs. “I felt totally in control all week with my iron game,” said Clark. “I felt like I was able to shape the shots I needed to with these irons, and felt that my distance control was right on the money. These irons have great solid feel and a classic look to them, but with all of the forgiveness and performance of a
modern club,” added Clark.
Once again, Clark moves up the Official World Golf Rankings where he
currently stands 29th.
