ATLANTA, GA, January 30, 2006 -
Srixon Staff Professional John Rollins tied for
4th place at the Buick Invitational in La Jolla, CA on Sunday, January
29, 2006. Rollins, who plays with Srixon's Z-UR prototype golf ball and
forged irons, shot 9-under par, 279 total (69-70-71-69) for a solid Top
5 finish. His final round of 69 in difficult conditions, that saw much
of the field back up, was highlighted by a dramatic eagle when he holed
out from 121 yards on the par-4 10th hole of the South course at Torrey
Pines.
Also at the Buick Invitational, Srixon Staff
Professional Tim Clark, who is ranked 26th in the world, tied for 10th
place by shooting a 7-under par, 281 total (68-66-74-73). Clark
collected his first Top 10 of the season playing with Srixon's Z-UR
prototype golf ball, forged irons and wedges.
At the
Movistar Panama Championship on the Nationwide Tour, Srixon Staff
Professional Kyle Thompson earned a tie for 6th place with a 5-under
par 275 total (72-66-67-70). Thompson played Srixon's Z-UR prototype
golf ball and I-302 forged irons in the Nationwide Tour's inaugural
event of 2006.
On the Champions Tour, Srixon Staff
Professional Isao Aoki came in 3rd place at the Turtle Bay Championship
in Kahuku, Hawaii by shooting a 9-under par, (71-66-70) playing with
Srixon's Z-URS golf ball.
Srixon has now earned 5 Top 10s on the PGA TOUR this year.
